Among the Tide
I was inspired by the location, age and the representation of these stones and their connection to Mother Nature.
The collection starts off with large Petoskey stones which are made up of fossilized coral from Lake Michigan. These stones help us to recognize and acknowledge our emotions, which is a very important step in learning to love ourselves.
I wanted to mimic the waves of the lake with the driftwood like fringe necklaces and then bring the collection to an end with the most powerful grounding stone, Lava Stone.
Lava Stone is a representation of Mother Earth’s creations, one of the oldest stones, it was once free-flowing liquid that laid a path for a new beginning. Lava rocks help to extinguish distractions and provide a clean slate to begin living from our soul.
